WELCOME TO CALIFORNIA GREEN COMMUNITIES
California Green Communities is an environmental recognition program that fosters innovative ways for participating cities to reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption while building vibrant, sustainable communities. Addressing 10 key environmental challenges, participants will create and implement programs that help realize substantial long-term cost savings and dramatic improvements in virtually every aspect of community life, and be recognized for their achievements as they reach Silver, Gold and Platinum levels in the program.
CITIES SUBMIT GREEN ACTION PLANS
Several cities have taken the first step toward achieving their California Green Community designations by submitting innovative action plans that meet environmental best practices.
