Monrovia
« BACK TO COMMUNITIES
Monrovia’s City Council adopted its Environmental Accords (MEA), establishing goals and policies to make our community more environmentally friendly and sustainable. The MEA covers 21 long-term goals and objectives, from waste diversion to new transportation systems. A Green Team, with representatives from every department, participates in the development of the Accords and Action Strategies.
Most of the goals are long-term (2015-2030) and will require new policies, programs and technologies. Several are dependant on other agencies and resources, such as utility companies. Monrovia is committed to working with these agencies, businesses and residents to create a more sustainable community for those who live and work in the city.
